Business Development Series
ICF’s popular Business Development Series (BDS) returned in 2016 to deliver virtual education designed specifically to help you build, sustain and expand a successful coaching practice. Host William Arruda guides you through content and action items that you can begin applying to your business right away.
2016 BDS programming was developed with you in mind, with sessions covering the topics cited most frequently in 2015 BDS evaluations and the 2015 ICF Professional Development Survey. The 2016 BDS is also designed to promote deeper exploration of topics addressed during last year’s sessions.
The first section focuses on making sure you have a strong plan in place for your coaching practice. Topics include personal branding and building a business plan.
The second section will help you identify your potential clients and understand how best to target them. Topics will include establishing and capitalizing on your coaching niche and building a business case for human resources professionals.
Once you have identified your target audience, you will need to successfully attract and engage them. The third section will cover ways to successfully draw in new clients. Topics will include booking paid speaking engagements and generating leads with LinkedIn.
The final series will focus on utilizing your coaching skills to expand your business. You will learn about passive income streams and hear from professional coaches about their journeys to building successful, well-established businesses.
Session recordings from the 2016 Business Development Series are now available for purchase.
