International Coach Federation Announces Dates for International Coaching Week 2020

Global celebration of coaching and its impacts to take place in May 2020.

Lexington, Kentucky, USAInternational Coaching Week (ICW) 2020 will take place May 4–10, 2020, the International Coach Federation (ICF) has announced.

Launched in 1999, ICW is a week-long celebration that educates the public about the value of working with a professional coach and acknowledges the results and progress made through the coaching process.

ICW 2019 took place April 29–May 5. It was the 20th year of ICW.

“We just celebrated ICW 2019 with an unprecedented flourish of coaching-focused events, inspiring hundreds of thousands of people around the world with the greatness of the coaching experience. I can’t wait for 2020 when we celebrate the 25th anniversary of ICF and offer more events that will inspire millions of people and advance our mission of boldly leading the future of coaching in service of a better world,” 2019 ICF Global Board Chair Jean-Francois Cousin, MCC, said.

More than 100 ICF Chapters worldwide participated in ICW 2019. They hosted 600-plus events, including webinars, workshops, panel discussions and pro bono coaching sessions.

As part of the celebration, the ICF Foundation hosted a virtual conversation on the role of coaching in social progress for its Board of Trustees and Foundation Society members.

“Coaching changes lives for individuals, organizations and society. What better way to celebrate coaches and their clients than this week-long event that brings everybody together? I am so excited about celebrating ICW in 2020 and am deeply grateful for all that ICF Members and Chapters offered in 2019,” ICF CEO/Executive Director Magdalena Nowicka Mook said.
