ICF Foundation

Founded in 2004, the ICF Foundation is a separate nonprofit entity from the International Coach Federation that exists exclusively to promote social good through pro-bono coaching and research.

Objectives of the ICF Foundation include:

  • To create and maintain a volunteer service of professional business and life coaches offering pro-bono coaching;
  • To conduct research and commission member studies on a variety of topics on issues related to the coaching profession;
  • To fund and provide scholarships and/or financial assistance for individual ICF members interested in attending coach training schools; and
  • To carry out other activities consistent with the organization's 501(c)(3) purposes.

Currently the Foundation is working on a portal which will house a variety of charitable projects looking for pro-bono coaching support. Professional coaches wishing to donate their services will be able to list themselves in the portal to enable matching between coach and project. Interested in being a part of this? Send your information to information@foundationoficf.org.

“Much like the ICF, the work of the ICF Foundation is to advance the art, science and practice of professional coaching on a global scale. However, the work of the Foundation is much more fine-tuned to education, research and charitable work in the profession.” - Diane Brennan, MBA, MCC, 2009 ICF Foundation President
