Founded in 2004, the ICF Foundation is a separate nonprofit entity from the International Coach Federation. To support its various projects, the Foundation relies upon the generosity of donors from around the world.
About the ICF Foundation
Funding collected is used to address the following Foundation objectives:
- To create and maintain a volunteer service of professional business and life coaches offering pro bono coaching;
- To conduct research and commission member studies on a variety of topics on issues related to the coaching profession; and
- To carry out other activities consistent with the organization's 501(c)(3) purposes.

2015 Gift of Coaching Awards Program
Every day, ICF Chapters, volunteer Chapter Leaders and individual coach practitioners around the globe give the gift of coaching. The ICF Foundation has introduced the Gift of Coaching Awards Program to honor their contribution and recognize ICF Chapters that have forged impactful pro bono coaching partnerships with nonprofit organizations in their communities and provide a platform for them to tell their stories and communicate best practices.
